We're in need of a Controller to direct financial activities of the organization. Establish, or recommend to management, major economic objectives and policies for company. Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations. You will be part of the Sweetwater Care Resource Team and will report to the Chief Financial Officer. We expect you to be highly organized and detail-oriented. A good understanding of corporate finance principles and the ability to analyze financial statements are needed. We want to see your ability to understand business needs and business systems requirements. You should also have excellent communication skills to facilitate cooperation within our company's teams

Qualifications:

·Bachelors in Business, HealthcareAdministration, Accounting, Finance or similar required

·CPA preferred

·8 years experience with multi-entityorganization (SNF experience preferred)

·Previous Controller experience highly preferred

·Excellent knowledge of accounting softwarepackages and spreadsheets (experience with Sage Intacct preferred)

·Advanced Excel user

Responsibilities:

• Establishes and maintains the organization's overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies.
• Provides advice and assistance to department heads and managers in analyzing and interpreting financial data and reports and in presenting that information to their departments.
• Supervises preparation of schedules and other documentation for audits of company’s accounts
• Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations
• Monitors the implementation of checks and balances which continually evaluate accounting practices, reporting procedures and record keeping.
• Directs and participates in the development of accounting and internal control policies and systems
• Consistently completes all assignment in a timely manner, thorough and appropriately detailed
• Effectively maintains all required records for the department; demonstrates good organizational skills
• Consistently develops a detailed plan of action prior to implementation of a new procedure
• Regularly examines alternative methods of providing required accounting services in order to reduce departmental operating costs
• Consistently demonstrates the ability to establish appropriate departmental priorities
• Coordinates and controls the cash management activities
• Presents findings and recommendations to management.
